About Session 1: Acute and Subacute Pyogenic Osteomyelitis This opening session focuses on foundational diagnostic protocols and clinical management strategies for acute and subacute musculoskeletal infections. The program opens with welcoming remarks and interactive poll questions led by Dr. Sanjeev Sabharwal, followed by expert introductory talks covering general acute/subacute care, radiological evaluation, and pediatric infectious disease perspectives. An international faculty panel then shares varied case presentations highlighting pediatric ankle, knee, thigh, and hip infections, alongside complex scenarios involving acute femoral osteomyelitis during intramedullary lengthening and pan-fibular resections. The session concludes with an insightful multidisciplinary panel discussion.
