Biography
Lars Jonsson is a founding member of our Board. He offers an international business perspective and financial advice to Global HELP.

Lars is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of Stellar International Holdings, as the Chairman, CEO, and President.

From the onset of his career, he has been focused on business with global competition as well as cyclical markets. He has been involved in high-level transactions in most parts of the world and participated in several Cabinet-level Swedish trade missions, including State visits to Mexico, Venezuela, and Cuba led by the Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme.

Lars has been actively involved in commercial real estate since immigrating to the United States in 1986 and has developed extensive interests in Spain, Sweden, and the United States. Prior to founding Stellar International Holdings, he actively invested in downtown Seattle real estate and funded an apartment complex development close to the then new Microsoft headquarters. Before moving to the U.S., however, Lars was CEO of NICO International, a Swedish-based engineering and marine service company with worldwide operations. NICO was part of the Axel Johnson Conglomerate, the largest privately held company in Sweden. Before heading up NICO, he was Vice President and head of the transportation division of Nynäs Petroleum, one of Sweden’s major oil companies, which also was part of the Axel Johnson Group.

Graduating from the Gothenburg School of Business in 1971, Lars was recruited to lead a feasibility study for a joint shipyard and a merger of the two leading Swedish shipbuilding companies, Gotaverken and Eriksberg. Sweden was at this time the second largest shipbuilding nation in the world. Lars went on to become Manager for the sales and marketing for the New building Division of Gotaverken between 1973 and 1978.
