Biography
Stephen W. Bickler is Professor of Surgery & Pediatrics at the University Of California, San Diego and Section Chief of Pediatric Surgery at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.
Previously, he was the Consultant Pediatric Surgeon at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Banjul, The Gambia. His research interests include surgical epidemiology, the origins of Western diseases, and strategies for improving surgical care for children in low- and middle-income countries.
